D-DAY (D for Deadline)!
Wednesday, November 19th
Petition Drive Deadline with the City/Town Clerks
5:00 PM is Zero Hour
--------------------------------------------------------------------
*** Promise Update ***
Wednesday, November 19, 1997
Greetings activists;
REMEMBER: You have only until *5:00 PM this afternoon* to turn in all petitions to the city and town clerks around the state. Today is the drop-dead deadline. If you gotem, getem there fast!
All day yesterday our drivers successfully delivered hundreds of petition packages to city and town clerks in every corner of the state. Everything we had is now in the clerks hands for certification.
We still have a few more days to collect the critical extra signatures needed to insure success in the City of Boston *ONLY* and are putting on a big push there, especially over this upcoming weekend.
We have until Monday (November 24th) at 5:00 PM to collect and turn in signatures to the City of
Boston registrar of voters at Boston City Hall, from registered voters residing in the following
locations:
-------------------------------------------
CITY OF BOSTON "NEIGHBORHOODS"
Allston-Brighton Back Bay Charlestown Dorchester Downtown East Boston Fenway Hyde Park Jamaica Plain Mattapan North End Roslindale Roxbury South Boston South End West Roxbury
-------------------------------------------
If you are available to petition this coming weekend in one of the above Boston neighborhoods, please call Chip Faulkner in the Boston office at (617) 248-0022 ASAP. He will team you up and provide your team with a choice location at one of the supermarkets or post offices in Boston or one of its suburb "neighborhoods" where weve had success in the past.
"The Chipster" will also be available on Sunday afternoon, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM, at the sidewalk entranceway of our 18 Tremont Street office (look for the Rebeccas Cafe sign at the Boston City Hall end of Tremont Street; the entranceway is right alongside) to make dropping off your City of Boston petitions for certification as hassle-free as possiblewith "curbside-service"! (Chip will bring them over to Boston City Hall for you on Monday, before the 5:00 PM deadline.)
We *still* need every signature we can get! If you possibly can get into Boston on this Saturday and/or Sunday, we need your 11th Hour help!
Chip Ford
