"This is big. This may be the beginning of restoring democracy to Massachusetts. Speaker Finneran's iron-fisted grasp has been loosened. I think the rest of Finneran's favorites have to pay attention: There is a cost to misplaced loyalty, and the voters tonight in Dedham extracted it from Maryanne Lewis."

The revolution has begun with the defeat of incumbent Finneran loyalist Maryanne Lewis, a four-term state representative.

"Observers should now recognize that if a high-ranking "Finneran's Favorite" like Rep. Maryanne Lewis can be defeated, every sheep in his flock is an endangered species, one election away from becoming lamb stew," said CLT director of operations Chip Ford.

CLT has heard that many Dedham citizens were glad to be informed of her record by the half-page ad we ran in the Neponset Valley Daily News on Monday. We intend to likewise inform other citizens around the commonwealth about the records of their alleged representatives over the next few weeks.
