Senator Richard Moore wants to rollback the income tax
rollback. Governor Cellucci and Republican legislative leaders warn that there will be war on Beacon Hill if that happens.
CLT will not wait to be drafted. CLT enlists!
Fuhgedabout it, Senator. We won fair and square. The voters
passed Question 4 by 59% to 41%.
So there's the Gimme Lobby's trial balloon, floating over
Beacon Hill. Ready, aim, fire! Pop!
To quote Speaker Finneran, "We shall fight on the beaches,
we shall fight on the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender."
Chip Ford, CLT's Director of Operations, says "If it's 'war'
they want, then it is 'war' they shall have. If the income tax rollback is attacked, the governor won't be alone recruiting
candidates. CLT's entire focus over the next two years will be our oft-discussed "Plan B"
-- an
absolute and unrelenting commitment to recruit and run candidates, Republican or
otherwise, who pledge to take back our state government.
"And thanks to increasingly lucrative compensation for a
part-time schedule, this battle plan can work."
So leave the tax rollback alone, and go in peace.
