Citizens for Limited Taxation
(CLT), the tax limitation group that was on the brink of financial
disaster just a few weeks ago, today announced that it has made progress
in raising money to keep the 35-year-old organization running. It still
has a way to go, according to Executive Director Barbara Anderson.
"We have had a wonderful response and donations from existing members
and over 100 new members," said Anderson. "We have enough money to keep
operating into the New Year but would like more taxpayers to join us for
2010 and become part of the new citizen revolution. This will be one of
the most exciting election years in activist history."

CLT is Alive and Kicking
By Bob Katzen
[Excerpt]
Chip Ford's CLT Commentary
Greetings activists and supporters:
We're still here and busy getting ready for this
Sunday's annual CLT Brunch. From the number of reservations, this will
be the largest attendance in years, in over a decade. We had to arrange
for a bigger room last week.
The response to the news that CLT was almost out of
funds was heartening. Well over a hundred taxpayers have now joined CLT
for the first time, enlisted in Revolution 2010 -- a most encouraging
sign. And hundreds of longtime members came through again to help
keep the organization alive and kicking for taxpayers.
Barbara, Chip Faulkner, Loretta and I are looking
forward to seeing the 200 of you who have made your reservations for the
big Sunday event. I expect that WRKO talkshow c0-host Todd Feinburg, our
guest speaker this year, should be inspiring and entertaining.
Thanks to everyone who helped CLT survive to fight
another day, and to celebrate another year!
